Welcome to the new Panau Island!

Today we can officially wave goodbye to the horrible old design and give the new design a big warm welcome!

Not only has the look and feel changed, there have also been a few modifications to the way the media section looks too! The forums will also change at some point to reflect this new look too.

I'll be adding quite a few new sections to the site soon, so make sure you stick around for that!

How about an interesting fact? well ok then...

Interesting fact: This site is only two months old now (2am 13th December 2009 to be precise), but has become the most popular source for all the latest Just Cause 2 goodies across the world. In this small amount of time, there have been a million hits on the website!

Thank you to all those guys who are showing your support! I really do appreciate it.

Oh yes, and I have something exciting planned within the next week or two which you can all get involved in. I'll post the details up soon!

Regular Just Cause 2 news updates will resume soon with some exciting stuff on the way!

Well guys, I can honestly admit that I myself never really liked the way Panau Island looked. I never thought it would actually be as popular as it is today, and it's only been running for just over a month!

So after giving my office a good tidy and rearranging furniture, I've decided to do the same to this site!

Of course, the functionality is going to be key to the success of this site, and I wanted to know what kind of things you guys would like to see added/changed? For example: Submit news you've found, Photo of the day (post-release).

Also, some of you have mentioned you didn't like the layout of the media section. Here's your chance to have your say in how it looks and functions.

PS3 Trophy list revealed

Big shout out to HHDnB or HHDnBking, it seems Mycoldman has finally answered your cries and released the PS3 Trophy list.

Don't expect there to be much difference between the PS3 trophies and the Xbox 360 achievements, but I guess it's good to know what trophy you will get for each achievement.

Of course, for a platinum trophy, you will need to complete the game 100%.

Head on over to the Xbox 360 Achievements list and the PS3 Trophy list which can be found in the Information section.

First Taste of Chaos - My Hands-on experience

Well guys, I did promise I would write a story about my Just Cause 2 experience, and I'm pleased to announce that it is now live on the site. Simply navigate your way to the Experiencing JC2 page.



I would like to take this opportunity now to say thanks to the guys at Square Enix/Eidos and Avalanche Studio for making such an awesome game, and a special thanks to Mike Oldman (Mycoldman) for inviting me.

This coming week is going to be packed with new content both here and on the official website. Perhaps we'll get the first glimpse of behind-the-scene footage in the first Vlog, or perhaps another podcast? Maybe both?

PC system requirements revealed!

It appears as though the PC system requirements have now appeared on the Canadian Amazon, so I've updated the system requirements page to reflect this.

I don't think this information is on any other website so a lucky find by taz187skillz.

Well, I am super excited about something JC2 related next week and I wish I could tell you why, but sadly that's just something you're going to have to wait and see!

Be sure to keep checking back for an update!

Also, I've been recently looked at the statistics and it seems Panauisland.com is fast becoming popular in many foreign countries (particularly France: Jeuxvideo.com), and I know this is mainly a UK based website, but I don't want anyone to miss out on any of the juicy info, so I've added a Google translator for you guys! (see the option on the left)

Updated: All new Vlogs on the way soon and Mycoldman QOTW!

So it's been a while since the Vlog section appeared on the official Just Cause 2 website (www.justcause.com), but a recent twitter update from mycoldman (twitter.com/mycoldman) has revealed that the vlogs are on their way very soon!

Filming JC2 vlogs all day. Coming soon to a www.justcause.com near you.

I'm certainly excited about this, and I'm sure most of you are, so hopefully it won't be long before they appear on the official Just Cause 2 website.

I will of course be keeping tabs on this one, so stay tuned for more details!

Also, if you're wondering what the QOTW is, mycoldman has said some great things in the past few weeks, so I've decided to keep a tab on the best things he says each week. It's a new section to the website where each week I will be posting some of the best things from mycoldman, whether it's on twitter or the official forums.

Yet again, stay tuned!

We've just heard from Christofer Sunderberg, Founder and Creative Director of Avalanche Studios, that Just Cause 2 is in its final stages!

Don't believe me? Here's what he wrote:

Just Cause 2 is in its very final stages and there will be some new interesting announcements about the game very soon, which we are all looking forward to. Christofer Sundberg Founder & Creative Director

So not only is the game in its very final stages, but there are some big announcements coming very soon.

Avalanche aren't the only ones with big news on the way, because I should hopefully have some very exciting news on the way too.

On a side note, I will be updating the website very soon to host some yet to be released info, and also integrate the forums with the rest of the site (there are still a few areas that you may have noticed need sorting out). I'll also be integrating an RSS feed very shortly, so you can stay as up to date as possible!

So make sure if you haven't joined the community here, that you do so today! So what are you waiting for? Oh yeah, some exciting news! Come on, Join today!

Site and forums updated

I wasn't particularly happy with the site as it was, and after changing the look of the site for a Christmas special, I decided to rethink the design a bit.

Though not much has changed, I think the site looks a lot better than it did before, and I have also updated the Game Information section.

Not only that but as the game's launch is just around the corner (okay, 3 months away), I thought I would update the forums to reflect this. It's all paid for, and yours to use for free!

I know there are a lot of Just Cause fans out there, and you're all welcome!
