Full details: Live from Panau Island - The Final Show

Be part of the audience and participate in one of the most exciting fan site events and Live from Panau Island episodes yet, The Final Show!

That's right, for one time only on Saturday 1st May 2010, I will be hosting The Final Show live at one of London's top venues... and you're invited!

I've managed to keep this quite for some time now, but it's finally time to lift the lid on what I've got planned. The game may already be out, but the fun certainly hasn't stopped yet. I'll be joined by my highly entertaining co-host Daniel, as well as none other than our favourite community manager... Mycoldman, aka Mike Oldman! (Square Enix London Studios)

It doesn't end there for those that come as you may even get a chance to chat to Mike, Daniel and myself personally, maybe buy us a beer (or mojito?) or you might just be lucky enough to shake our hands. Speaking of hands, did I mention we have some awesome goodies to give away? That's right, some of those who come won't go away empty handed!

I've got less than two weeks now to sort out the guest list, and sadly numbers are very limited for this exclusive event. You will need to make sure you can get to London for 2.30-6pm GMT on Saturday 1st May, and are over the age of 18 (sorry, it is a club after all and they will check). If you can come, you will need to send an email with your contact details and The Final Show as the subject line to live@panauisland.com.

Remember, this is a first come first served opportunity so grab your seats quick!

Watch out for some more invitations being handed out later on in the week in all the usual Just Cause 2 spots.

Don't worry if you can't make it though, as it will be streamed live on the Internet like normal, but I will also be editing the footage into a proper episode for later enjoyment.

Great news, it's now less than a day for the UK to get their hands on some exclusive Just Cause 2 DLC, and I'm super excited about it. It's a great new service from FirstPlay, just check out this introductory video below, which might possibly have a little Just Cause 2 DLC teaser too...

What's more, there's even something delicious on it's way to you very soon... for all, from us, with love.

Live from Panau Island - Where are we?

As you guys have probably guessed there was no podcast show last week, and sadly there might not be one this week either... simply because I am still on holiday in Spain! But that doesn't mean I won't be doing any more...

In fact, I have something very special planned for one of the episodes... so special that it will see the return of live video!

Now I don't want to shout about it too much yet as the details are still being drawn up on my whiteboard, but what I can say is if you're living in or near London... you may want to keep your eyes and ears open for the big announcement that should happen very soon!

Until then, hope you're enjoying playing Just Cause 2, and if you have the limited edition version... some of the DLC items too, and some yet to be released DLC of which I announced would be coming this week through FirstPlay!

Panau Island Directors Club updates released!

So it's been a few days since I unleashed the Directors Club upon the world, and there are now around 90 videos currently in the media channels. Good stuff!

I mentioned in my previous post about some updates I will be introduce to the Directors Club, and I am pleased to announce that there have been a few already... some of which you should really find useful!

Some of the major changes include:
  • Users can now edit the title and description of each video before importing them.
  • The pending videos queue is now checked regularly every 30 minutes instead of by myself.
  • Some minor background changes have also been applied.
The ability to edit the title and description, along with the automatically set to public feature I added before is just awesome for all your PS3 Upload to YouTube videos which by default are set to private and the following title and description: "Just Cause 2 video - Video from Just Cause 2 captured by gamer!". By importing your videos and making any changes within the Directors Club, it will also apply the changes to YouTube too!

There are so many more updates coming though - including the ability to upload directly to YouTube from within the Directors Club - so make sure you Register today and start importing and showcasing some of your videos. Go on, get them noticed!

Just Cause 2 is out now in Europe!

Just Cause 2 is finally out in Europe, so if you haven't picked up your copy, you should definitely do so as soon as possible as you will still be able to get the Limited Edition version while stocks last.

It's been a great couple of months since I first launched this site in late December, but it certainly doesn't stop here.

If you haven't seen, there is a new section up called the Directors Club which is the place for all your Just Cause 2 YouTube videos. Since I launched it on Tuesday (North American release date), there are currently over 70 videos submitted by the you - the community. YouTube is fully built into it so you don't even have to leave the site to find your video IDs or urls, it does it all for you! Just take a look at the User Guide for more details about what it can do, or Register today on the community forums to start sharing your videos!

This is just one of the things I had planned to feature on the website, but there is just so much more stuff planned not only for the Directors Club, but also the website itself that it will make most of the developers over at Square Enix London Studios weep!

Just Cause 2 out in North America!

If you're living in North America and don't yet have your copy of Just Cause 2... what are you doing reading this?! Go get it!

For those of you who don't live in North America, sadly you will have to wait until Friday. Until then, I couldn't recommend highly enough that you should stay away from any forums or the Panau Island Directors Club which was secretly released this afternoon to those that live in North America and want to share their videos (and help test it out of course).

IMPORTANT: If you don't have your copy of Just Cause 2 yet, Don't check any forums or the Panau Island Directors Club.

Great little Just Cause 2 comic by Ctrl+Alt+Del

Ctrl+Alt+Del, or more specifically Tim Buckley has just created this fantastic little comic for Just Cause 2. I couldn't work out what the reference to a scene from Jurassic Park is about, but then it clicked... I couldn't stop laughing because me and Daniel started the rumour about dinosaurs for a laugh in one of my podcasts and then a petition thread followed shortly!

You can view more fantastic comics over at Ctrl+Alt+Del.
